OIL/WATER INTERFACE METER

For accurate measurements of product level and thickness, the Interface meter allows quick and easy determination of any air/product or water/product interface. The meter measures both floating and sinking layers.

This unit is used by professionals concerned with the monitoring and remediation of groundwater contaminated by oil products.

On contact with product (oil), the probe causes a single tone and a steady light at the reel. When the probe reaches water, the tone becomes intermittent and the light flashes.

THE REEL

  • Constructed of durable U.V. resistant engineered plastic with stainless steel fittings
  • Large handles for easy use with gloved hands
  • A unique hook on the reel allows the meter to hang on the casing

THE TAPE

  • Resin coated, high tensile steel
  • Tape conductors are stainless steel
  • A unique Viton and steel link between the tape and probe prevents excessive stress at this point
  • Tapes are available in English or Metric units in graduations of 100th/ft (1mm)
  • Standard lengths 100ft (30m) and 200ft (60m)

THE PROBE

  • Ultra-slim 5/8" (15mm) diameter
  • Unique, encapsulated probe provides leak-proof performance to the full tape depth

THE REEL ELECTRONICS

  • Fully encapsulated electronics
  • The electronic reel module is easily removable
  • Signal format is solid tone and light for oil, and an intermittent tone and light for water
  • Uses one easily accessible 9V battery
